Chelsea and Leicester have both been short of wins in the Premier League of late, and are both outside of the coveted European places in the table as they still find their feet under contrasting circumstances this season. However, this weekend’s clash at the Bridge could go the way of the hosts with City’s away form so disappointing early on.
Chelsea are currently seventh in the Premier League table with 13 points from seven games this season, having won just once in their last four ahead of Saturday’s meeting.
The Blues have suffered two defeats from three while seeing their defensive record obliterated with two or more goals conceded in three of the previous four games.
Despite that perceived poor form the home side are just three points off the top-four and boast two wins from three at home this season. The Foxes haven’t managed a point on the road in the Premier League this season, which could give the hosts the edge.
Leicester are enduring a difficult title defence. Claudio Ranieri’s men find themselves 12th in the Premier League table, with eight points from a possible 21, having managed just two wins all season.
The Foxes have lost all three away games in the Premier League in 2016/17, conceding 10 goals for their troubles, and with Leicester pinning their focus on their maiden Champions League campaign, they aren’t likely to consider Saturday’s trip to Stamford Bridge as a winnable game.
